Why nut butter?
After a few months of regularly buying pecan butter, it hit me; as saturated as the nut butter market may be, there's still a lot of room for exploration. This thought was relegated to the "maybe one day" section of my brain, as I was working full-time and happily buying nut butter from my favorite brands and farms. Eventually, I began making my own - mostly to use nuts I would buy from the farmers markets. As the years went on (this story is longer than I thought it would be, sorry) my slow-roasting techniques developed and I started getting more creative with the recipes (adding spices, toasted coconut flakes, dried fruits, etc.). And as a hobby crafter does, I started gifting my butters. And like I'm sure a lot of founders' stores go, enough people said "you could sell this stuff", that I started to believe it.
